This is fine quirky pop indie pop with touches of a hard sound all wrapped up to provide something to be pleased about in the season for flighty summery grasps. Very cute and proficient, this hits the right spot as far as something nearing perfect pop fun. This is from the “Green” album and produced by Ric Ocasek (lead singer of The Cars). There are a couple of good infectious B-sides also, plus a CD ROM video for the single. The song “Hash Pipe” is given a Jimmy Pop (Bloodhound Gang) remix and “Oh Lisa” has only ever been available previously, as a bootleg. So there are some added incentives to buy this single.
