They impressed greatly with their previous album “Inna Styles”. This new album stretches their leanings into a soul style. The tracks are generally polished in production although you could sense that a more daring attitude would win more fans over. “Ounce of Swing” tempers with that thought, but the other tracks remain catchy and appealing. The title track and “I Want To” are two other standout songs, the latter being a stunning number of epic proportions. Linda Janssen has more than a capable voice and shows her talent. MC Kye adds a fine vocal to suit the funk and jazz components. The intense “Feet And Body” is a good example. Wicked Beat Sound System are beginning to put their stamp in Australia with these fine soul/electronic elements and we can only hope for natural development and more live shows.
