Boomtown is a new Melbourne record label and their aim is to promote young punk rock bands. Wishful Thinking is the first such release and this three-piece pack a mean punch with tight, driving sounds and a blend of catchy melodic tracks. They have played to growing audiences and have supported well-known acts like Millencolin, Area-t and Antiskeptic. There is good variety throughout, with notable songs being “Smile” and “Reasoning With Doubt”. They lift the energy levels by mid album with “Motives” and “Sea Of Expectation”.
