This is full of funky grooves, in interpreting some timeless songs into a modern stance. They’ve collaborated with Lenny Kravitz, amongst others through their remixing craft. Here, we get deep dreamy dubs, indicative of what you’ll get for a soundtrack. It’s quite elaborate though - very smooth and classy. “Give It Away” has an inspiring charm. Be sure to listen to track 3 (“Distractions”) in which Australian singer Sia boosts the quality with her sultry vocals. The final track “Monday Night” is absorbing in the way it takes us into a dreamland of sorts. Lots of ambience and creativity by these two. Watch for upcoming album. This EP should tempt you.
