:: ReconstructionZero DBComprised of Zero DB remixing avant jazz pieces by some classic and newer fusion acts, Reconstruction is compelling in itself as a listening album, or as classy background for an upscale orgy. The music is as expensive as the women, and as bubbly as the champagne, and what better social lubricant is there than good music that doesn’t get in the way of love and conversation? Trüby Trio’s Galicia is a particularly liquid track, melting in and out of consciousness, and teasing with clean little synth lines and funky syncopated rhythms. Original Soulboy by Touch the Sun is another fun piece that has been reworked expertly, with careful attention to the original feel of the piece and a fresh energy at the same time. That’s the vibe throughout, fresh energy on well-chosen, funky tracks that are just fine with headphones, or Vaseline. Creative Vibes has done it again with this release. I’m going to call up a few girls now and put this in the CD changer with Miles. |
