Brisbane band george continue their excellent development with another stirringly interesting song. The quintet is led by talented sister-brother combination of Katie and Tyrone Noonan. They share the vocals this time and display their customary moody, emotion-gripped vocals in this purposeful ballad. The good thing about the band is the quality musicianship on hand. Tyrone sets the right groove in leading the band through some assured backing. A beautiful, angelic live performance of “She Smiles” has been placed as a B-side, along with an interesting big beat remix by Future Funk Squad of “Spawn”. A pleasant highlight of the CD has george delving into a bit of nostalgia with an acoustic version of The Church’s “Under The Milky Way”, which was recorded live at The Healer in Brisbane. It’s welcome listening and well delivered, and it only enhances their reputation. Their following continues to grow, which is no surprise given the compelling nature of the band’s sound.
