:: No One Does It Better

soulDecision

This 3-piece band from Vancouver, Canada, has come together to create a real solid pop band. Ken, Trevor and David actually play their own instruments as well as write their own songs. Their music seems to have come from early influences that each member loved and has fused them together to create a funky, groovy, romantic, idealistic pop band. This new album “No One Does It Better”, produced by the Australian Charles Fisher, blends all these characteristics plus more with their catchy upbeat tracks. The most recognised song on the album would be “Faded” with its sexy pop feel and great guitar riffs. Other good songs on the album included the groovy “Stay” the slow sexy feel of “Ooh It’s Kinda Crazy” the feel good up beat sound of “Only In My Mind” and the rock/pop fast sound of “Next Time.” The lyrics are ok; sometimes they are not as strong as they could be, but they make up for it with their non-egotistical approach to fame and their love of music. The harmonies on this album work well with all the songs and each member’s voice blends just as well as the next. If you are into a pop band with some 80’s influence and a sound that is like Human Nature, George Michael and Boyz 2 Men thrown in all together, then this one is for you.
