Gerling

This is an assured, impressive fourth studio album from Australia’s Gerling. They sound like they're adding themselves to the list of Australian soft rock exports - and we’re not short of them lately. (Think of After the Fall, Nada, Kisschasy etc.) The album has a laid-back, easy listening feel similar to that of Youth Group, only with a little more bite. Standout tracks include the catchy and melodic ‘Auf Wiedersehn’ and the rockier ‘When The Night Comes’. It was recorded in North Hollywood, in the studio of Ethan Johns on some rare recording equipment. Whack it on the Kombi and drive down the coast.
