More upbeat and dynamic than we‘ve come to expect from Melbourne emotive four-piece Gersey, this EP delivers a much more attacking rock option. Fair to say, it's a good option too. While the beautiful melodies are still evident, opening track 'The Girl Is My Gun’ as well as ‘Woken & Waitin’, demonstrates how the band is pushing into new and interesting territory. Now under a new label (Inertia), it‘s an exciting time for Gersey and their ever increasing fan base (me included). After the brilliant albeit mellow triumph that was their second album ('Storms Dressed As Stars’) they have now added a new dimension to their music. It works for me… It'll work for you!
