Well, independent New York artist Gina Cutillo wants you to open her debut CD because of the sexy looking cover and she manages to back it up with feisty, well-written rock ‘n’ roll and blues. She rocks with a powerful voice, possibly rougher than might appeal to some, but the energy and talent is there to listen. Like many indie female artists across the States, Gina is finding that niche or that market in which to build her career. Rock fans should surely take a listen to these tracks and take a big interest in someone with talent like her. Her songwriting is thoughtful and passionate. Gina is a pretty mean and adept guitarist too and, with a solid band behind her, ensures that her live show would be value for money. Gina professes cleverness and sexiness in her rock style and there is still so much ahead of her. Definitely recommended listening.
