There is a brilliant relaxed feeling to this EP. Though Gyroscope is best described as rock, their simple acoustic style is very easy on the ears. This is particularly evident on ‘Misery’, a track that showcases the band’s talent, not only as performers but also as honest and reflective songwriters. The EP only consists of three songs, but each are prime examples of why the band are well worth a look. To anybody still unsure what the bands about, what their music is like or even why they should be interested Gyroscope a straightforward suggestion on their cover insert, proclaiming in bold capitals, ‘stop analysing everything’. Good advice: I think I’ll just shut up and let you listen for yourself.
