Gyroscope have been an underrated band for some time, and it is fitting that their popularity has risen in 2008 through several years of hard work. The “Breed Obsession” album is one of the best Australian albums this year and they look set for greater rewards. The latest single “Australia” comes at a good time when economic worries need to take a back seat for some patriotism. It shows how one can embrace our culture and live a full life. It's a slight change of style for the Perth band, yet it's probably their most commercial release. It's very intimate and lush and full of pride. Watch for the band as it soon embarks on its biggest national tour ever.
