Split into three discs; ‘Disco Heaven’, ‘Disco Kandi’ and ‘Twisted Disco’ the selection is careful, methodical and peppered with big names; Lady GaGa, The Ian Carey Project, The PotBelleez, Shapeshifters, Sneaky Sound System, TV Rock, Eric Prydz… the list is endless and anything but dull. A careful selection of whom and what goes where leaves the end result satisfying, entertaining and absolutely Kandilicious. Mr Timothy’s ‘Thump’ sends must-dance shivers up your spine with its pounding bass, mixing into The PotBelleez crowd pleaser ‘Are you with me’, magic! If nickpicking was the order of the day, the remix of Dizzee Rascals’ ‘Dance wiv me’ felt like it took the oomph out of what it normally provides with all the extra synth action and the faster bpm but you can’t have everything, and this is a small price to pay for having the track included.
