Their latest album ‘The Hard Road’ has been No.1 on the ARIA charts, which is a huge step for Hilltop Hoods and the Australian hip hop scene. The three-piece Adelaide group has been in the business long enough to know how hard the industry is. Something that makes them stand out from the rest is their R & B influence and also still sticking to their Aussie roots. Some may be turned off by some of the lyrical content. But with the acoustic piano mixed with the infectious drum beat in ‘Breathe’, there is almost a ‘jazz’ like feel to some of their songs. ‘Clown Prince’ is the latest single is out now and has also charted well. This is their finest work to date.
