Christophe Goze is a respected French jazz/lounge producer and guitarist. He instigated a music collective that is helping bridge the gap between artists, labels and record distributors to provide a better way for musicians to distribute and market their work. Christophe has compiled “Horizontal Grooves”, an interesting album that has guest vocalists adding their touch to the downtempo vibes. It’s a good collection for those who love the chilled, lounge sounds even though the prominence of the genre was more evident about five years ago, with some glorious material coming from Europe, in particular. Dannii Minogue makes an appearance on the track “Take Me Inside” and listen out for Nicola Hitchcock (the voice of the underrated Mandalay) on “Feel”. A very good compilation.
