:: Inka - Name Brand GoddessInkaInka is an independent singer-songwriter who came to my attention a couple of years ago through some online songs I’d heard from the USA. She is very adept at singing poetically and celestially. She is capable of flavouring her sound in acoustic and electrically with the same heavenly and emotional thought processes. This album is most enjoyable and the unpredictable nature of shifting styles may be off-putting for some, but I found it often refreshing to hear Inka’s dramatic and quiet turns. She paints beautiful images of poetic thoughts that have real substance and it is probably worth some extra time to give it a few listens to absorb Inka’s line of communication. Some intrigue surrounds the song ‘John Lennon Jesus’. It has much atmosphere and a cool vibe, as if reaching out for Lennon’s inspiration. The instrumentation throughout is noteworthy too – electronic beats, acoustic and electric guitars, and cello are all nicely wrapped aroudn the Inka’s vocal treats. Overall, a most innovative and unique album that showcases a delightful person. | www.inka-music.com |
