Featuring Tiga and Ajax, ‘Inthemix’ is solely for those with an appreciation for electronic techno. For those who see otherwise the album is nothing special. Its two discs are full of songs which all sound relatively the same. Songs which all feature a one and consistent beat which repeats itself over and over again - enough to drive anyone insane. Disc 1 by Tiga takes on the instrumental approach with almost all songs being without vocals, while Disc 2 by Ajax, offers listeners a choice between solely beats or a mixture of beats and vocals. “You Gonna Want Me’ by Tiga is just about the only recognisable and enjoyable song amongst the mash of beats and electronic ‘grooves’. But in all fairness for those who like this type and style of music, they will probably enjoy this album. Ultimately it comes down to personal taste.
