Question: What do you get when a smooth African-American singer/actor (Jamie Foxx) collaborates with a cool rapper/songwriter (Kanye West)? Answer: A song called “Extravaganza” — that just doesn’t cut it. The lyrics unfold a story (or rather a recollection of events) about a big night out: “I had one too many drinks/And ended up at the embassy/With this pretty little thing from Memphis, Tennessee/It was a one night extravaganza,” croons Foxx. The Bomb Factory Remix is decidedly the better one out of the four versions released. Still, it pales in comparison to the duo's previous collaborations “Slow Jam” and their massive chart topper “Gold Digger” (roles reversed: Kanye West featuring Jamie Foxx). This song just doesn’t do anything for either of them. Instead it resembles a B-side track. Wayward “Jay Foxx” fans, however, will still take a liking to the tune. The next question is: How many people will genuinely relate to the lyrics?
