Jodie is a new discovery for me, but, when reading a little of her background, the Queensland singer-songwriter has covered quite a bit of musical territory. She has had extensive music and dance experience in popular and classical music and it resonates well to what this 11-track album signifies. She expresses herself powerfully and poignantly and puts herself out there as a real entertainer. Unusual to think she is working independently but she puts much into her efforts and I understand her live shows are something to enjoy greatly. With appealing looks and being able to display a sweet and controlled presence through the set of mostly melodic ballads, Jodie has much to look forward to.
