After a string of chart notching singles such as ‘Thrill Me’, ‘E-Samba’ and ‘Da Hype’ (all of which are included here), and a string of both European and worldwide hits under various other guises, this is the debut long-player under the Junior Jack moniker by Belgian DJ / Producer Vito Lucente. With a collection of house rhythms and his trademark throbbing bass lines, bearing overtones of funk and disco (‘Stupidisco’), Mediterranean suggestions and strong Latin influences (‘Hola’), ‘Trust It’ has been conceived purely for a dance-floor. It still manages to maintain a sense of subtle musicality that makes it valid listening for those days you don’t want to wear your dancing shoes. There’s nothing particularly groundbreaking here, the sounds are all common electro fare and the beats are by no means revolutionary, but there’s nothing sub-standard here either. A solid, if somewhat ‘slim-lined’ effort.
