Kasey Chambers is one very likeable singer songwriter and obviously has talent most could only dream of. She sprung to our TVs and radio stations with an edge that was new, refreshing and invigorating. We all applauded. One wonders if she hasn’t lost the drive to be different, to be individual and to be outstanding. One listen to this, her latest single, and you may feel she has inadvertently cruised to an easy going range where easy going music is the play of the day. This latest single ‘Saturated’ is for dedicated Chambers fans - a worthy addition to the collection - but you will most likely find yourself going back to her earlier releases for satisfaction. ”With a horse name jac and a ten gallon hat” - this still doesn’t sounds like her most relevant lyrics. Let’s hope she doesn’t let us down too much, as Australian music needs her at her best.
