Katherine Jenkins is a soulful mezzo-soprano from Wales and, at age 25, possesses a mightily purposeful voice and not surprisingly is regarded highly in Britain. “Living A Dream” is a selection of old Welsh songs and opera classics. She was given the honour (by Dolly Parton) to be the first person to sing “L'Amore Sei Ti” (I Will Always Love You) in a foreign language. It's a romantic highlight of the album. Katherine sings very personally and has much ahead of her as she looks to one day performing in a full-length opera. The performances on this CD show her maturing style and growth as an entertainer. Her vivacious appeal surely endears her to a wider audience.
