Lee Harding, you know him - the guy with multi coloured ‘punk’ hair from Australian Idol. He is one of our young talents, unjustly at times, subject to criticism from music snobs, purists and reality TV naysayers. Lee must be under some sort of contract that is forcing him to sing this pre teen aimed pop punk song….poetic lyrics such as “It ain’t good cause I get wood and I’m high on fever so now ain’t time for chasing beaver’ are amazingly bad, it feels like someone has tried to write the worst Blink 182 track and failed. Funnier than Jim Carrey in Dumb and Dumber this track is for amusement only and makes Shannon Noll seem like Nick Cave. Let’s hope this is a just a bad judgment call by Lee and his next effort is better…rather than ‘calling the nurse’ I would recommend he gets along to a Hilltop Hoods or You Am I gig to check out some great Aussie Idols.
