Mandy Kane is a hard performer to categorise but his voice has a haunting quality similar to that of Placebo’s Brian Molko, and shares the eyeliner-wearing pale aesthetic. Having supported Marilyn Manson and Machine Gun Fellatio on their Australian tours, the boy’s proved he’s no slouch but has only enjoyed modest success to date. His songs are good, not great. Lyrically, however, Kane shows maturity and addresses a wide cross-section of topics.
