:: Mark Sholtez - Real Street

Mark Sholtez

Mark Sholtez impressed immediately with his first single ‘Love Me For The Cool’. The smoothness of his voice carries through on this debut album and the songs are mostly engaging and effortless. You can picture a smokey jazz bar in the early hours, sipping on a drink, and relaxing to the dreamy sounds of a song like ‘If You Were A Song’. There are ballads and swing sounds to highlight Mark‘s versatility and it's a generally classy outcome. The wide-ranging global influences take hold to ensure a charismatic tone. U2 fans can take interest in his light and easy version of 'All I Want Is You’. Quite a surprise, but well worth a listen. Mark has the ability to become an established jazz artist for Australia, and can set his sights on a worldwide scale. This is a very good beginning for the talented Queenslander.
