:: Maxence Cyrin - Modern Rhapsodies

Maxence Cyrin

Now here’s an interesting concept - a classically trained musician develops a fondness for the dance/rave scene as a teenager and leaves behind his symphonic roots, only to rediscover his classical and opera leanings as a young adult. Reluctant to leave the new wave/electro scene completely, Cyrin instead decided to re-interpret some of his techno favourites relying only on his ears (no musical scores exist for the pieces) and thereby creating his piano homage, Modern Rhapsodies. The tracks are almost unrecognisable in acoustic version, but this haunting and melancholic work is nothing if not inspired.
