Melissa Tallon

Melissa is a singer who gives much in her performance of these album tracks. It’s my first listen to her music and she comes across as an honest and melody-laden songstress, with a beautiful voice to enjoy. “21” is her expressive way in bringing her life into music and she has justified the belief that her record company has in signing her to a worldwide recording deal. Her writing will endear itself to many keen music listeners and the quality is extremely good, yet there is so much ahead of her in terms of future experiences. Watch for her pop tendencies interspersed with the gentler piano/vocals style. The title song is a good example of the purposeful melody, and most other tracks offer their own theme. She has the production skills of David Nicholas (worked with Elton John and Sting) and the Australian Chamber Orchestra lends a hand. Hopefully we will see this Brisbane-based talent in live shows as soon as possible because she’ll charm the audience with her great looks, descriptive style and moody flavours.
