Miss Issa Bayaua is a recent discovery through the wonderful world of cyberspace. Miss Issa is a stunning looking singer, with her beautiful Latina/Filipino background complementing her capable talent as a vocalist. This album is my first hearing and it’s a mix of poignant melodic love songs and catchy upbeat dance tunes. Already, the single “Stay Up” has been very well received in the United States and, such is the potential that Miss Issa demonstrates, Fat Joe came on board to collaborate, a rare thing for a virtual untried artist. But it works effectively. The single showcases a smooth, soulful artist who looks like she’s been on the scene for years, but in fact her career has climbed pretty quickly and looks sure to scale to greater heights. She has the confidence in her ability and has the will to succeed. Her flavours revolve around a Latin/urban sound gripped with R&B rhythms. Check out Track 11 “Mi Amor” for the sensual groove. Her gorgeous looks will enhance her popularity and set the scene for amazing videos, but coming to grips with the various beats and sounds thrown at her will be an interesting exercise for Miss Issa. This album is a terrific beginning in wanting to fulfil her dreams and, with the probable never-ending endorsements factor in the future, Miss Issa is set to express her love to many adoring fans in the future.
