The Morning Birds

After their critically acclaimed ‘Cowboys’ EP and the beautiful ‘Visiting Skin’ single, The Morning Birds has been striking a chord with many (myself included). Now thankfully, they‘ve dropped their debut album. Adding a little more rockier type sounds to their already amazingly powerful and emotive songs, this has taken The Morning Birds a step further down the path of success. This Melbourne trio seem, at will, to deliver beautiful tune after beautiful tune. They capture the very essence of emotion and make truly meaningful songs - something that is missing from the pop charts these days - with absolute ease. It's impossible not to be swept up by their touching, lingering odes, be it slow, deliberate songs like the brilliant 'Under The Sun’ or ‘Visiting Skin’, through slightly more upbeat tracks like ‘Sleepy Heads’ and ‘God Bless Me’. It's powerful stuff and I defy anyone not to become affected (and hooked) by their mesmerising and expressive pieces.
