Great to see a follow-up to the excellent Volume 1 of the series. Ennio Morricone is one of the greatest composers we’ve seen and it’s a tribute to his fantastic work that mixing his epic compositions and pop gems has become sought after. Compost Records has compiled this eclectic set of mixes and accumulated various styles of dance music – drum & bass, house, ambient, and downbeat, amongst them – by the remixers. There is a new dimension brought into the classic melodies and it sits well alongside Vol.1. And the remixers don’t tamper too much with the trademark Morricone magic wand. Excellent value.
