The bossa nova style is brought back with the transforming of some 1980s hits. Check out “Love Will Tear Us Apart” by Joy Division, heard in an oh so different lounge-like way. The jazz arrangement of Depeche Mode's “Just Can't Get Enough” will cause a rumble also. The tracks are well served and generally come up trumps in the laidback, smokey lounge atmosphere. Other noteworthy tracks are PiL's “This Is Not A Love Song” and the track “In A Manner Of Speaking”. The songs are short enough to retain attention and charm, and the invigorating creation is recommended as a fine, jazz-styled album of 80s music.
