Nouvelle Vague’s second offering would replace Air as café music everywhere, were it not for the conundrum of how waiters are to carry their plates while jitterbugging to Dancing with Myself. Perfectly timed for spring cleaning, this is the antidote to last year’s new wave overdose. It injects all of the sweet melancholy back into classics by Blondie, New Order and the Buzzcocks. Stripped back to French cabaret, the collection will make you think you’ve just returned from a trip down the Riviera.
