Basement Digs has done a great job of getting a stellar group of artists for this album. DJs Kenny Dope, J Rocc, Oh No, Cut Chemist and Todd Terry are just a few of the big names that contributed to this work. Kashmere Stage Band makes a few appearances on this album and is the ringleader of this production. They’ve got a few originals and some classic covers too. J.Rocc, founder of The Beat Junkies, mixes up their cover of “Ain’t No Sunshine” and Todd Terry does a remix of Stevie Wonder’s “I Wish”. These accomplished DJs give this album an eclectic sound with a rap, reggae, house and electro angle to some otherwise straightforward tracks. If you’re a true DJ lover, there’s no doubt you’ve got some turnies at home, so the box set includes an exclusive Madlib 7-inch called Rapp Cats Pt. 3 featuring Quasimoto. This album is great to have on whilst cruising in the car or a party, or even just as background music.
