:: Paris Hilton - Paris

Paris Hilton

People will obviously have pre-conceived ideas about the quality and substance of this record. However, they might like it more than they expected, even though they probably didn‘t think too much about it. Paris can thank the production team of Greg Wells and Scott Storch for making this a palatable dance album. Paris’ voice is one of a mostly soft breathy whisper so much has been computerised to augment the output. Already, the first single “Stars Are Blind” came across as catchy with a feel-good rhythm. Other tracks follow a similar line - good dance beats and fun-filled pop, albeit lacking deep and meaningful lyrics. But Paris is about fun so the purpose of the album is met. I don't think the Rod Stewart song “Do Ya Think I'm Sexy” should have been reinvented. Not a memorable album but not the worst you will hear this year. There is music to dance and have fun with.
