You may remember Paul Goddard from his acting career, in movies such as The Matrix and Babe, and television roles in shows like The Lost World and All Saints. This Australian actor’s first shot at releasing an album is… a good one! Don’t be nervous about branching out. Despite some acting-turned-singing disasters (let's not relive those tragedies, shall we?) this one can go down in history as a hit. Goddard’s debut album, 2am, is a casual coffee listen. His voice is smooth and soft, perfect background music. Guest vocals bring a nice change, and give the feeling of a compilation. With A Little Bit Of Luck seems random at times; casino slot sounds breaking up the otherwise good track. Emerald Eyes is a gorgeously slow track. The title track is slightly more upbeat and defiantly runs reminiscent of casual after dinner drinks. Grab your after dinner coffee, grab your best friends, slide this into the player and relax. You’re in for a pleasant ride.
