:: Paul Kelly - Songs From The South Vol 1 & 2

Paul Kelly

These days artists release their ‘Best Of’ album after just a few releases, but that hasn’t been the case for Australian legend, Paul Kelly. He released his first best of 12 years into his career, that was 10 years ago so now he has released and second, and Kelly being Kelly he makes sure his fans don’t miss out he includes his first best off in the pack with his second, he simply titles the pack ‘Songs From The South Volumes 1 & 2’. This is an absolute best off, 40 tracks of Paul Kelly brilliance. Of course all the classics like ‘From St Kilda To Kings Cross’ and ‘Leaps And Bounds’ are to be found here as are the ‘true-Aussie’ tracks like ‘Bradman’ and the song that all Australian artists seem to love ‘Look So Fine, Feel So Low’. The second volume consists all of Kelly’s later hits. Fans of the short lived TV series ‘Fireflies’ will be happy to find ‘Won’t You Come Around’ while the bluegrass sounds of ‘They Thought I Was Asleep’ will remind all what a versatile artist Kelly really is. When you sit back and listen to great tracks like ‘Love Letter’ and ‘When I First Met Your Ma’ you truly see what a great singer/songwriter Paul Kelly really is. Not is he one of Australia’s finest… he is one of the best of the world. This is a must have for all Paul Kelly fans and if you are yet to discover this great artist, just one listen to this ‘Best Of’ and you’ll be going out and buying his whole back catalogue. This is a brilliant ‘Best Of’ collection.
