This is an excellent hip-hop release from this Melbourne artist who doesn’t have any American accent. Being such an artist and having the rare significance of being signed to a major label, it is no mean feat to achieve what he has in a relatively short time. There are melodic sounds and charismatic moments, while the production is substantially good; being provided by Daniel Merriweather and J Skub. Phrase lives and breathes the inspirational and well-textured tracks in a complete package. The moods vary for the appropriate moment of visionary lyrical content. There is a good flow to the lyrics and songs generally with Phrase’s strong attitude and aggression asserting it to the listener. He backs himself with confidence and the substantial effort in the instrumentation pays off as a most listenable and deserving album.
