Having remembered how good the album “Sympathique” was a little while ago, we've been eagerly expecting this new release from the American band Pink Martini. It's been interesting to see the progress of this independent outfit in how they've grown from a four-piece to a twelve-piece. They have the ability to bring their melodies and rhythms to world audiences in an infectious manner, whether supporting a political cause or simply merging cultures in a festival environment. Lots of fun-filled tracks include the Eastern European “Dosvedanya Mio Bombino”, the salsa-encrusted “Tempo Perdido”, and “Cante E Dance”. There are several really enjoyable tunes. The music has no real boundaries in that they romance audiences with their skilful arrangements.
