Perth based band Red Jezebel has been making waves for sometime now but on the back of lead single ‘Kicking Deadly Sins’ from the new album ‘How I Learnt To Stop Worrying’, that wave is surely about to get bigger. The 13 songs indicate a good, talented band comfortable with their craft, something that can only come through experience. They‘re not shy to traverse a few differing styles, from the rockier lead single through to country tinged 'Lost My Gun’ and the Spanish flavourings of ‘Find My Way’ along with the delicate, atmospheric mood of opener ‘Hollywood’. The band, after much label jockeying and re-rostering return to their indie roots and it's fair to say, the gamble has paid off. While this album won't propel them into superstar status, it will prick the ears of those who know talent. I don't expect Red Jezebel to become a household name just yet but on the back of this release, they're certainly strolling down the right path.
