This is the follow-up to the 2003 first release that was titled ‘Claude Chalel presents New Oriental from the R.E.G Project’. R.E.G stands for Ralph (Khoury), Elie (Barbar), and Guy (Manoukian). Continuing the Challe-influenced tradition of bringing the funky French house elements and chilled lounge features, R.E.G have further explored the innovative Arabian anthems that lend themselves perfectly with the Ibiza folk in remixing the selected tracks with style. And style is what track 1 ‘Catwalk’ is all about. It’s a brilliant opening track, wonderfully suited to the fashion flavours and sets the tone for several catchy and mesmerising music filled with loving aroma. The trippy grooves and cool laidback sounds attract interest because they are unique and fresh. This inspiration, the Ibiza and Challe connections add weight in asserting their authority in the international dance music scene. Expect to hear more innovative beats and flavours by R.E.G. If you like the Buddha Bar sets, this will take things a little further in creativity.
