:: Robbie Williams - Greatest HitsRobbie WilliamsYou can't help but like Robbie's attitude these days. He might reveal some amazing anecdotes on his life or give a few verbal sprays. Yet, he is colourful and there can't be any question about his ability as a performer on stage and for what he's achieved as a solo artist. His shows are simply outstanding. Yes, those days in Take That are well and truly behind him as he enters the Greatest Hits phase of his career. The timing is appropriate as he has compiled a pretty good list of songs. The introspective “Angel” and “Better Man” stand high from a few years ago, as well as the upbeat pop efforts of “Rock DJ” and “Let Me Entertain You”. Naturally, his duet with Kylie Minogue on “Kids” gets a spot on the album. Because of his split with long-time collaborator Guy Chambers, this CD signals the end of that phase. There are two new songs with “Radio” being one of his really good singles ever released. The other “Misunderstood” has just been released as a single too, although it isn't as dynamic as “Radio”. All in all, this is a worthy snapshot of where Robbie is currently. The CD booklet is a good souvenir. He's been a winner and an ultimate showman. What will the next phase bring? | ![]() |
