Here‘s another great collection of tracks and unique duets from popular music-trivia TV show Rockwiz. Nineteen songs (including the opening theme) make up this fine CD. The unusual pairings and great song selections make this album the pleasure it is. From artists as diverse as Russell Morris, Kate Miller-Heidke, Betty Harris, Archie Roach, Neko Case, Martha Wainwright, Lior, Jen Cloher, Serena Ryder, Chris Wilson, Eddi Reader and Josh Pyke to name a few, really add the element of difference and surprise. The songs themselves cover many genres and decades from 'Hush’, ‘Under The Milky Way’, ‘Careless Whisper’, ‘Across The Universe’, ‘Takin’ It To The Streets‘, 'Wild Horses’, ‘Candy’ and ‘Heroes’ which each are as unique and different as the musicians who sing them. A nice booklet accompanies this album, which details a little history of the songs and gives a glimpse into the careers of the 36 artists who lend their voices to ‘Rockwiz Duets: Vol 2’. This is a great collection of songs and acts and worth more than its purchase price.
