When I saw Rogue Traders perform ‘Would You Raise Your Hands?’ on the Australia Day concert, it was an obvious choice for a single. Very instant with a touch of glam amid the pop vibe, it showcases a burst of anthemic instinct that augers well as the new album approaches release. I very much like what I see in Mindi Jackson as the band‘s vocalist; her energy in providing an addictive sing-a-long chorus, together with the relentless guitars on display. The inspired track also has a recognisable sample from Adam & the Ants’ ‘Ant Music’ song. Overall, a worthy single and it sets things in motion for a big year ahead.
