:: Russell Peters - OutsourcedRussell PetersRussell Peters has grown up as an Indian in America, and it has clearly given him the opportunity to hone his observation skills and recognise all the culture traits that make us unique. Peters has also developed his skill in delivering his observations in a very humorous way, offering us his perceptions on race and culture. ‘Outsourced’ is Peters latest release, and trust me, not a single minority is spared. From Americans and English, to Asians, Indians and Latino’s, all are recognised for the stereotypes that they are identified by. One thing is for certain, this is not a public broadcast show, and will not appeal to everyone. It all depends on how you look at it. Some people may find the CD offensive, but others will find it funny, recognising it as one man’s perception on the way things are, and appreciating his ability to highlight the endearing and comical aspects of culture. If you can take the album at face value then I am sure you will enjoy it, and in a time where we seem to easily recognise the bad over the good I see nothing wrong with a little laughter. | ![]() |
