It’s no secret that Australian hip-hop is frowned upon, but Brisbane based hip-hop act RVL8 has tried to prove that there are talented homegrown artists out there in the genre if we just give them a chance. ‘Rollin’ With The Punches‘ demonstrates their talent for lyrical writing. Songs like 'Do You Know’ and ‘Nothing’ are stand out tracks to prove their talent and set aside the Aussie rap accent. ‘Freedom Of Speech’ has a cool laid back beat with no vocals but a repeated echoing sentence that I couldn’t figure out, but I thought was still really interesting. Perhaps not quite number one material, but it's honestly better than other hip-hop groups out there.
