:: Saving Abel - Saving Abel

Saving Abel

These small-town bands from America seem to generate tunes that appeal to the masses. Catchy tunes that you’re singing before you’ve even decided whether you like the song. The latest band to most likely be taking over commercial radio stations near you – Saving Abel, a group of five boys, originally from Mississippi. Saving Abel were picked up by big guns, Virgin Records, and consequently released their self-titled album. The single ‘Addicted’ – their debut release - is a prime example of a modern rock song that hints at what the rest of the album would offer. Hate to say it but the lyrics are predicable, and so is the sound. ‘Addicted’ resonates very closely to something you would hear from Nickelback … needless to say, after some extensive research (not so much) Saving Abel are in fact touring with Nickelback. In essence, it looks like Saving Abel, while not taking over the mainstream rock world anytime soon, could possibly make a dent on it if those avid Chad Kroeger lovers can let yet another American rock band into their hearts.
