Aussie stalwarts Screamfeeder has been making music and inspiring many for a long time now. In ‘Delusions Of Grandchildren’ (great name), it has returned to the classic three-piece line up which has proven so successful for it over the years. Starting with ‘All The Other Times’, the guys immediately capture your interest with a rocking, punchy little number that‘s sure to get the heart pumping. They take it down several notches with 'Blue’ a thrumming, slightly slower tune. Even though it sounds like it was recorded at someone's suburban house with dogs barking in the background, it's classic 'feeder. The title track is a haunting, moody piece that despite it's
short length stays with you for much longer. From there the band goes into an acoustic, emotive cover of Cyndi Lauper‘s classic 'Time After Time’ with Kellie providing the delicate vocals. It‘s simply beautifully. They reignite the rock in 'Summer Rat’ before providing perhaps the EP‘s standout with 'Modern Morning’ in all its sublime glory. They wrap it up nicely with the delightfully fun and airy instrumental of ‘Nuts To This’ which inexplicably ends very abruptly. Screamfeeder have still got it!
