Sophie Serafino is an Australian artist who has the knack of incorporating different worldly sounds into a well-produced and original sound that is rarely heard in this country. She has compiled talented musicians around her to invigorate and entertain audiences. The set up looks like an orchestra but within comes a funky, rap styled tune that will pleasantly surprise. Sophie is clearly enjoying her music. Her violin performances are eclectic and sexy, and the cello, guitars, and MC back her admirably. It works harmoniously. A great deal of depth and textures enable Sophie and band to tantalise and energise listeners. She has a good look and clear vocals that make the recording further attractive and this CD deserves thorough examination because it is to be enjoyed by a wide-ranging audience.
