Shihad have gone through a few changes over the years. They changed their name to Pacifier after the September 11 attacks and when they confused people they went back to the name Shihad. Now they have changed their sound. Their new single ‘Vampires’ sounds like something you would expect to hear from a band like Motor Ace rather than the aggressive sound that Shihad managed to produce in their heyday on albums such as ‘Pacifier’. Still ‘Vampires’ isn’t a bad rock song; it has melody and is a nice listen. A tune like this may just see Shihad make it into the commercial side of music, but how many of their old fans will they lose along the way?
