It seems like an eternity for this release. The three young women that comprise Slinkee Minx (Annemarie, Michelle and Belinda) have been very busy making corporate appearances and performances on the back of a couple of singles, one of which was the cover of Belinda Carlisle's smash hit “Summer Rain”. But, in releasing “Electric Dreams” at this stage, the girls have been able to evaluate and re-evaluate what was right for the album, so it was a case of getting it right in their minds over the three-four years. They wrote the majority of the tracks, mostly of a dance orientated vibe, and had the comfort of working with good producers like Josh Abrahams and Mr Timothy. Another cover song “Send Me An Angel” is given a worthy rendition and demonstrates their good taste and a knack for energetic dance and funk music. It all adds up to vibrant club anthems and sweet harmonies, ensuring plenty of dance delights in this well-compiled package.
